There's been more than a little bit of back-and-forth when it comes to taxes and politics. Lately, the fracas has surrounded President Obama's plan to raise the top tax rate from 35% to 39.6%.

You don't need me to tell that that school's starting again, and for most college students--and even some high schoolers--there can be some tension when figuring our how to pay for it.

I've recently taken up barefoot running. This may seem an odd practice; after all, that's why they invented shoes. Yet despite advertising on the contrary, running shoes have not been scientifically proven to prevent injury or increase performance.

The Internet is no longer just the research toy back when it was invented at the DoD. Now it's a little bit of everything: a place to play, a business tool, a resource, a way to communicate, and a hundred other things. It's practically ubiquitous. In fact, one survey shows that 70% of American households have internet, and 60% of households have broadband.

At this year's Fall DEMO--a tech conference held in Silicon Valley--Dynamics, Inc. took home first prize and the People's Choice Award, the latter netting them $1 million. Their winning product?

They didn't win millions of dollars, but they did get to hang out with the President of the United States.
