Despite that gray tinge to the clouds outside, at least here in Oregon, it is summer (Thanks, climate change!) and this is one of the best times of year for sweet deals. Here are a few of my favorite deals for Summer 2011.
Regal Theater's Summer Movie Express 2011: Every Tuesday and Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. for this 9-week festival, theatergoers of all ages can view $1 family-friendly movies like Megamind, Gulliver's Travels, and Yogi Bear.
AMF Summer Unplugged: If there's one thing about bowling, it's expensive. Fortunately AMF is offering killer deals until September 5. Kids 16 and under can bowl two games for free per day (single registration can support up to six kids). Bowlers 17 and older can then register with the kids for $27.95. The kicker is four adults can register under that price, which comes out to less than $7 per person for two games per day.
Disney World Summer Resorts: Until October 1, all Disney World resorts are majorly discounted if booked through pixievacations.com. For value resorts, pay $69 per night instead of the usual $149 per night through expedia.com.
2011 Vacation Hot Spots: While it's obviously expensive to jet off on a whim, planning a vacation to one of these hot spots, even if only a few weeks or a month prior, will help reduce costs. And let me tell you, 40% off a brand-new hotel in Brooklyn totaling just $150 per night is a very good deal for New York.
