You know how it's usually a bad idea to broadcast online how much you hate your boss or give anyone reason to suspect you're slacking off at work?
Three Congressional staffers were having a great time on Twitter doing just that--until it came to the media's attention today. Thanks to the technological advancement called the screenshot, the offending Tweets have been preserved so future generations can learn from the mistake.
If you plan on having a career on Capitol Hill (or any career at all), please note the following examples of what NOT to Tweet:

The article that ratted the Tweets went live today and by noon PST all three staffers involved had been canned. Take-home message: don't be stupid.
On that note, I think someone should start an award for the best case of career destruction via Twitter (kind of like the Darwin Awards for social media). Who do you think would take the prize this year?

I nominate Anthony Weiner for a Social Darwin Award.
I second that nomination as a contender for a Lifetime Achievement career wrecker award in the "special interest photography" category.
