We told you to vote, and you did. Hooray! Pat on the back. Medals for everyone.

Every election we get told that it's super-important, but apparently we really thought it was this time. Personally, I think all us young people (hey, it sounds better than Gen-Yers) were just enticed by those I Voted stickers.

Regardless, 2.2 million more of us voted this election than in 2004. That's a big enough increase to get the media to tell us that, "Young Americans can finally shake off their reputation for civic apathy." Well, thank you.

Overall, 24 million (about 54%) of us cast our ballots. Oh, and that old adage that your vote counts... well it really does--reports are saying that the youth vote helped swing the election. All I really wanted to say was, "Thank you for voting."

Well, glad to see that over half the country cares about whats going on in the world. Unfortunately (in my opinion) over a quarter of our population are Obomunists. Hearts and kisses your friend in W.A.

Ya, over half the country does care. But what the heck is up with the 40+% who don't even bother? Also, don't give up hope, according to the exit polls more than 58 million of you were McCainiacs and Palin Pitbulls. These next four years will give you the chance to hope for change, just don't choke on a mooseburger. Bigger hearts and kisses, your friend in OR.
