For the past few months, the content department at brass has been scheming to pull a few April Fool's Day pranks on fellow staffers. We discussed possible plans in hushed tones at staff meetings and exchanged stealthy emails with subjects like, "TOP SECRET!" Then we got knee-deep this week in finishing up the next issue of the magazine and our schemes fell by the wayside.

Oscars By The Numbers

Last night's 83rd annual Academy Awards aired to lukewarm ratings. The winners were fairly predictable, critics called the music performances so-so, and reviews of hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco have been mixed. I'm pretty easy to please--woo me with enough glitz and glamour and I'm sold--but even I didn't find this year's show particularly entertaining.

Regardless, the event was still brimming with fashion fodder, star-studded folly, and the occasional acceptance speech faux pas. Here are some figures I rounded up that highlight this year's biggest night in Hollywood.
